About Us
EPIC Management Group has been providing Infection Prevention, Control and Applied Epidemiology services since 1983 for a variety of healthcare facilities and businesses nationwide. .We have managed, outsourced, designed, and instituted major infection prevention programs and our clients have included many of the top healthcare institutions in California, Nevada, and Japan. Specifically we have assisted hospitals in fine tuning their current IPC programs, educated their infection prevention/control staff, and prepared the hospitals for Joint Commission accreditation and CMS.
EPIC Management Group is headquartered in Montclair, California. We employ three full-time employees who are all dedicated to the ongoing delivery and enhancement of our services.
Our Founder:
Harriett Pitt, RN, MS, CIC
Harriett Pitt launched EPIC Resources in 1985 as a national healthcare management company whose focus was applied epidemiology and infection control. Since then, Ms. Pitt has consulted with over 40 businesses on their short and long-term infection prevention and control needs. Ms. Pitt is active in national and local APIC and was President of the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc., and she is on the APIC Board of Directors. Ms. Pitt was program director for beginning infection control professional educational activities for California APIC Coordinating Council from 1984 through 2011. Ms. Pitt holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Loma Linda University and a Master of Science degree in Health Science Epidemiology from California State University, Northridge.
